The people of this good looking kitty are friends of mine.
Until recently, Katniss was not a patient of mine, though.
Her people generally related that she was cranky.
About 2 weeks ago, Katniss was at K. Vet for a veterinary visit.
It was decided that x-rays would be advisable.
Those images showed a significant amount of degenerative change at the last disc space in Katniss' spine (L7).
That kind of change is definitely consistent with low back pain, and possibly pain in the back legs as well.
Chiropractic is the perfect tool to address this problem.
Katniss' mom told me that after the first chiropractic adjustment, Katniss was a different cat.
She was more social, wanted to initiate interaction with her people, and was generally a more agreeable individual.
How do you like that?
Lots of us are more cranky when we are in pain.
Our animals have a fairly limited vocabulary to express that discomfort.
Happily, Katniss is in much less pain now, and finding lovely ways to express that!
