Oh, sweet boy, you will be missed.
Last Friday we at KVet said good bye to Bogey.
Bogey was one of the first rehab patients we had at KVet.
While I was still taking my rehab course, we started working with a few, hand picked, patients to get us all ready for the opening of our rehab facility. Bogey was one of those patients.
Over the last two years, he'd been in almost weekly for chiropractic, laser, rehab, some acupuncture, and, of course, veterinary visits.
He was a big hearted dog who had a progressive neurologic pathology.
You may have even seen him tooling around KVet in his cart.
Even though his body ultimately failed him, he had so much to teach us.
He taught us about grace, strength, and keeping going through any adversity.
He spent his last week celebrating his 13th birthday with his people and special treats from a dog bakery. He visited with his special people so that they could say good bye.
On Friday morning, Bogey was visited in our office by me, of course, by Megan and Stacey, who had done many of his rehab visits, and also folks from the front desk and office management team.
Bogey touched us all deeply.
Thank you to Bogey's wonderful people, Tim and Cathy, for allowing us to share this journey with them. They are the kind of dog parents any dog would be lucky to have.
With so much love, I'll look forward to seeing you on the other side, buddy.
